Delivery of Ambulance 71-4
Friday, September 19th, 2008 |  view pics

Today, the FSFAS took delivery of the long-awaited new ambulance. It was delivered by the Vickery crew. We had a good turnout of people to see the ambulance for the first time, and everyone was very anxious to open all the cabinets and doors and take a look at what the new ambulance can offer us. It was agreed by all that the the lights were bright and that the siren was loud, but no one expected the air horn to be as loud as it is. We will defininately be heard loud and clear by motorists, helping to keep us safe. Everyone was pleased with all of the new safety features and the ease of use of all the new technology. The members will begin training immediately so we can get the truck on the road. Board Chairman Marchetta and Chief Inzano pose with the delivery crew from Vickery, as they wish us luck with the new ambulance and go over a few more training points with our officers. Congratulations FSFAS, and stay safe out there!

Awaiting delivery of new Ambulance 71-4
Friday, August 29th, 2008 |  view pics

The Franklin-Somerset First Aid Squad, Inc. is anxiously awaiting delivery of our brand new, custom-built Lifeline Ambulance! As this article is being written, the "truck", as we call it, is being striped and lettered, and having radios, flashlights and other accessories installed at our dealer. This is a very exiting time for the FSFAS, because it is the first time in over two DECADES that we have purchased an ambulance with our own funds. Remember, the FSFAS as funded almost exclusively by donations, so please keep them coming. Remember, you can always donate online. Anyway, stay tuned; as soon as we take delivery, more pictures will be posted on this website.
